The City Women Toowoomba season has come to a close. 🧡🩵💛

After 20 beautiful and impactful years, City Women Toowoomba is wrapping up this chapter.

As seasons change, so do circumstances for our small team.
📍Debbie Dodds is now serving on staff at HumeRidge Church.
📍Jess Willis is dedicating more time to her two young boys.
📍Letitia Shelton and Selena Protheroe will continue their work of unity & mission both nationally and internationally with One Heart Australia .

It has been an extraordinary and deeply rewarding journey. We are so grateful to have been part of something so special in our city.

To everyone who has walked alongside us — thank you. This has always been more than a team; it has been a movement of hundreds of women (and some incredible men) who have served, given, prayed, supported, and sacrificed in both big and small ways.

Thank you for the privilege and joy of loving our city together. 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

1,500 meals each week are served by Toowoomba’s most well-known homelessness feeding services — Kitchen and Soup Kitchen.

That doesn’t include Rosies, Crows Nest Soup Kitchen, Protea Place, or many other local efforts quietly serving our community.

Meanwhile, 3,091 people are waiting for social housing across the Toowoomba and South West region.

These stats remind us of two things at once:
1) there is real need in our community 😢, AND
2) there is real compassion already at work in our community 👏

You can help keep it going.
Supporting local services, volunteering, donating, or simply staying informed all make a tangible difference in the lives of people in our own region.

Still on the rise.
Recent court data shows family violence applications and protection order breaches are rising in our region. This points to both increased reporting and ongoing need for support.
We are thankful for places like the and and many other organisations who are doing the hard work on the ground in this space.

Here is a great opportunity to volunteer with an organisation that is changing lives.

One of the beautiful features of the Women’s Centre is the open-air atrium at the heart of the home.

Recently, the women enjoyed dinner together in this space, sharing connection and conversation alongside one of our newest volunteers.

Getting styled to give someone style!
Note: the outfit you see in this video is my work, not Cindy’s 🤣. But this is a really cool idea. On several angles.
I’m a busy mum and it was just great to go in and have a whole outfit sorted, with real practical tips on how to wear multiple outfits to suit me.
But mostly, I look forward to my money going towards helping a woman who really needs this. Maybe a job interview. Maybe to feel confident to date again.
