I started making jerky while serving as an Infantry soldier because I couldn't find the kind of jerky I wanted to take bush.

I never imagined that idea would one day see Original Beef Chief named a finalist in the Australian Defence Industry Awards for Veteran-Owned Business of the Year.

As a former Infantry soldier, there are still days I feel like I'm "just a digger having a crack". This nomination is a reminder to stop occasionally and appreciate how far we've come.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Beef Chief over the years. Every order, every event, every conversation and every recommendation has helped get us here.

Let's see how we go in Canberra next month - I'm sure the competition will be fierce 🇦🇺

Beef Chief is back on base 🪖🇦🇺 We've been lucky enough to partner with Kapooka, 1 Recruit Training Base.

This is where Australian civilians become Australin soldiers.

You'll find our special Regimental Edition in the Soldiers Shop on base. All profits go into the Regimental Trust Fund - aimed at boosting morale, building social cohesion and supporting social clubs.

Available for all recruits and their families watching them march out 🫡🇦🇺
