We’re getting ready for Red & Yellow Day! On March 4, we’ll join the nation in celebrating the incredible Surf Life Saving volunteers who work tirelessly to keep our beaches safe. These heroes wear red and yellow, so we can enjoy the water with confidence.

Quick tips:

✅ Stay where you can clearly see the water surface and below.
✅ Minimise distractions like phones or chatting.
✅ Never leave your child alone or assume lifeguards replace your responsibility.

Your eyes and focus keep kids safe.

🕯️Light Will Win 🕯️

Today, we pause as a nation to remember the 15 lives lost at a Chanukah by the Sea event at Bondi Beach last month.

🤍 On this National Day of Mourning, we stand with the Bondi community and Australia’s Jewish community. We honour the victims, acknowledge the families and loved ones who continue to grieve, and recognise the bravery of first responders and those who acted with courage in the most harrowing circumstances.

⏰ At 7.01pm tonight, we encourage our community to observe the national minute’s silence and to reflect on the theme “Light will win” ✨ — choosing kindness, inclusion and care for one another.

Our thoughts are with everyone impacted. May we continue to look after each other and stand firmly against hatred in all its forms 🩵 🧡

Respect for our Lifeguards & Aquatic Staff 🩵

Pool lifeguards have been spat on, kicked and abused in record numbers. As the temperature rises, the abuse gets worse. And it comes at a price.

Accidents around water can happen quickly and often without warning.

To help everyone stay safe at the pool, here are a few simple tips to keep in mind:

✔️ Read and follow all pool rules and lifeguard instructions
✔️ Walk carefully - wet surfaces can be slippery
✔️ Enter and exit the pool slowly and safely
✔️ Raise your hand and call for help if you’re struggling in the water
