You’ll notice some colour outside our libraries this Friday and Saturday!

Our libraries in Corangamite are recognising IDAHOBIT with a mix of hands on activities and curated LGBTQIA+ resources designed to spark conversation, creativity and understanding.

Visitors can take part in informal creative activities like jewellery making and colouring in, contribute to shared displays and explore LGBTQIA+ books and information that reflect the diversity of our community.

Visit Camperdown, Cobden, Derrinallum, Terang or Timboon Libraries during opening hours to join in.

IDAHOBIT is coming up on Sunday, and Noorat will have a special event to celebrate with the community.

International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia and Transphobia is a time to stand for respect, inclusion and the right for everyone to feel safe being themselves.

Sunday’s free event will include entertainment, guest speakers, games and activities, plus food vans, with something for all.

It’s at the Noorat School Hall from noon.

Everyone is welcome to attend, listen, reflect and take part.

We had a very special Storytime today with a visit from Maggie the Schools wellbeing dog. Samuel read lots of exciting dog books while Maggie with her owner Andrea listened in with Ready Set Go Timboon. Thank you Timboon P12 School and Ready Set Go Timboon and Dogs Connect.

Celebrate IDAHOBIT with hands-on activities at your local library in Moyne.

This week we’re marking IDAHOBIT – the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism and Transphobia at Koroit, Mortlake and Port Fairy Libraries.

Join us for relaxed, inclusive activities that celebrate diversity and belonging – from creating a Pride flag chalk artwork, jewellery making and colouring, or spending time exploring LGBTQIA+ books, resources and support information.

Visit Koroit, Mortlake or Port Fairy Libraries this Friday and Saturday.
