Upcoming Meeting: Wednesday, 25th March at Tumbling Waters - 5pm.

After the unwelcome distraction of the potential solar farm, the time has come to get back to what we intended to do - advocate for a cycling and walking track connecting Tumbling Waters to the Thornton township, as well as the Rubicon Valley.

We will also discuss other potential improvements for the reserve - playground upgrades, blackberry control, etc.

Rubicon Solar Project ☀️ - Group meeting
at Tumbling Waters, Monday 13th October 5.30pm.

Hi all, I trust that you are aware of the proposed Rubicon Solar Project on Taggerty-Thornton Road.

Friends of Tumbling Waters has received direct contact from Carmel Dowling from Umwelt, expressing interest in a meeting to gain insight from group members, to better understand the potential impacts and opportunities relating to the project.

If you would like come together as a group to collectively present our ideas and concerns, please come along on Monday evening to participate in a private group discussion.

In the meantime, I will arrange for us to meet with Carmel some time between 15th-17th October.

Also, I’ll take this opportunity to mention that after hibernating for the Winter I’m now keen to get back into preparing a presentation for council in the coming months, relating to the potential walking track and park upgrade. If you’re interested in assisting or have any updated ideas, please let me know so that we can get things happening.

Just a quick update to say that there has been some communication going on behind the scenes to find out whether or not this project can get off the ground. Further info will be provided in due course.
In the meantime, if you have any further ideas or opinions on the project feel free to share so that they can be addressed at the appropriate time.

This group has been formed in the hope to create community, by sharing ideas and working together to make Tumbling Waters even more special. The idea is to come up with a joint vision and present it to council in the New Year.
