What a fantastic term for KB! Our first Kindergarten assembly was a huge success—everyone spoke with such confidence and remembered their lines perfectly. It was wonderful to see their teamwork and excitement on stage. In class, we’re building our reading skills by blending sounds and adding extra sparkle to our independent writing. Science has been full of discoveries as we watch our bean seeds grow day by day. We also teamed up with our buddies to create colourful posters for World Earth Day. So proud of all the progress and enthusiasm from our little learners!

Congratulations to Ritam Malik, son of Mrs Bala, one of Riverbank’s Kindergarten teachers, on his selection to represent Australia in Artistic Gymnastics at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. A former student of Matthew Pearce Public School and Castle Hill High School, Ritam continues to achieve incredible success, recently helping Australia win team gold and earning an All-Around bronze at the 2026 Oceania Championships. Riverbank students are excited to follow Ritam’s journey at the upcoming Commonwealth Games and will be cheering him on as he represents Australia on the international stage. We wish Ritam every success and look forward to celebrating his achievements.

Well done to our seven students who represented Riverbank and the Ridges Zone at the Sydney West Cross Country Carnival yesterday. The track had several uphills and some winding paths where all students gave their absolute best. Congratulations to Chloe who placed 3rd and will be competing at the upcoming State Cross Country Championship.

Please find attached and below information regarding current works at The Ponds High School. From Friday, 19 June a large number of trucks will be entering the carpark entrance on Wentworth Street.

The kiss and drop outside the carpark entry on Wentworth street will be open during school drop-off and pick-up times (8:00am-9:30am and 2:30pm-4:00pm). Outside of these times, the kiss and drop will be cordoned off to allow trucks to enter and exit the site.

The kiss and drop at the southern end of Wentworth Street (outside Tranquillity and our K-2 classrooms) is unaffected and will remain open all day.

It is anticipated that works will take and take approximately one week.

3A have spent considerable time learning about dingoes and their vital role in Australia’s ecosystem. The class has been inspired to investigate the fascinating ways dingoes contribute to the environment. It has been wonderful to watch students develop their persuasive skills as they express their opinions on topics such as “Are dingoes important?”, “Should dingoes be kept as pets?”, and “Should we protect wild dingoes?”
