Only 2 more days until we get to see Mrs Brown be slimed! The highest-fundraising class in the school will score front-row seats and have the very special job of sliming Mrs Brown.

As you can see, it’s an incredibly tight race for the top spot, so there’s still plenty of time for the leaderboard to change. The winning class will be officially decided at 8am Thursday 17 September morning, so please keep those final donations coming.

Final fundraising funds need to be in by Wednesday 23 September 3pm for students to be eligible to receive raffle tickets for the chance of winning some amazing prizes. There is still time to fundraise, every bit counts.

We thank you for supporting our school fundraiser and cannot wait for the Gr8 Race!

KA has been busy in English and Science. In English, the class read the book ā€˜Chip’ and shared their ideas about the main character through writing and discussion. In Science, the students explored different materials and their properties, identifying items that were soft, hard, flexible, rough, or smooth. Well done for showing curiosity and creativity in your learning!

Congratulations to Athveka on receiving a National Education Standards Authority Stage 1 Bronze Award in the Best of WriteOn 2026 competition.
The writing stimulus was: ā€œIt was a small thing, but it made a difference.ā€
Athveka’s entry, ā€œFriendships Blossom Like a Flowerā€¦ā€, was a beautiful and heartwarming story about friendship and a special connection between two girls formed in Kindergarten that blossomed into a lifelong friendship.
What a wonderful achievement and recognition of Athveka’s creativity, imagination and writing talent.
The award ceremony was held today at the State Library, making this achievement even more special.
Congratulations, Athveka! We are so proud of you!

Earlier this term, 2R learned about procedural writing. They focused on writing detailed instructions, using action verbs, and adding prepositional phrases to explain how to make fairy bread. The class enjoyed putting their instructions to the test by telling Miss Renshaw how to make fairy bread.
