This coming week is looking like a coats and gumboots kind of week, so it was lovely to be out in the garden during STEM with preps last week on a clear, dry day.

Preps have been learning about growing plants and have recently planted broad beans into the veggie patch. We have been excited to measure them each week and watch them grow! On Friday, preps were able to get up close to plants to look at all of the different parts whilst weeding! It was great fun!

Prep’s and their buddies got together today to make a sea of Indigenous flags to commemorate the beginning of Reconciliation Week. The children listened to Indigenous stories RESPECT and Welcome to Country which were read by Grade 6 students, Koby and Billie.

Check out some of The Preps’ handwriting and drawings inspired by the story Finding our Heart. So proud of their efforts!
