FRNSW Station 457 were called to two concecitive, two car MVA (motor vehicle accident) incidents on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons this week. NSW police and NSW Ambulance also responded to these incidents and thankfully on both occasions no persons were injured.....

As part of the King’s Birthday Honours, four Fire and Rescue NSW members have been recognised for their exceptional service.

Assistant Commissioner Mick Morris received the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for his tireless advocacy in water safety, disability support, and health outcomes. After the tragic incident involving his son, he and his wife founded the Samuel Morris Foundation, leading to real legislative and national change.
Captain Edwin Gray has dedicated over 30 years to the Tenterfield community, providing unwavering leadership and commitment. Chief Superintendent Steven Hayes is recognised for his strategic leadership during major emergencies and organisational reform. Station Officer Mark Porter has contributed over four decades to advancing fire safety standards and firefighter training across Australia.

Congratulations to all four on this well-deserved honour.
