Following recent assessment of our Pin Oaks, Mayor Bronwyn Petrie has shared a message with the community about Tenterfield's iconic trees.

"This is our opportunity to ensure the character and leafy appeal of Tenterfield carries into the future. We are committed to retaining trees wherever it is safe to do so, while also investing in replacement planting and future avenues." - Mayor Bronwyn Petrie.

Council is taking important steps to manage Tenterfield's heritage trees and safeguard the future of our iconic Pin Oaks following an independent arborist assessment of 203 trees across the township.

Key Facts:

๐ŸŒณ All 203 trees were individually assessed by an independent Level 5 arborist

๐ŸŒณ The majority of trees remain stable with ongoing monitoring and maintenance

๐ŸŒณ At this time, only 10 of the 203 assessed trees have been identified as requiring removal due to significant defects and health decline

๐ŸŒณ Council has already purchased 54 advanced Pin Oaks to support future replanting and renewal

24/7 Health Advice Service Available ๐Ÿฉบ 1800MEDICARE

Residents can now access free health advice anyday, anytime through the Australian Government's new 1800MEDICARE service.

Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the service connects callers directly with registered nurses who can provide immediate health advice and help determine your best care options.

1800MEDICARE can assist people who:
Are unsure whether they need medical attention
Have a non-emergency health concern
Need help finding health services in your local area

๐Ÿ“ž Call: 1800 633 422
๐Ÿ’ป Visit: medicare.gov.au/1800
๐Ÿ“ฑ App: Use the 1800MEDICARE app

Please note: 1800MEDICARE does not replace emergency services. In a medical emergency, always call Triple Zero (000). ๐Ÿšจ

Subscribing through myGov is a simple and secure way to access government services in one place. Itโ€™s one of the ways households can receive Census information going forward. If you choose not to subscribe, Census materials will still be delivered as usual by mail or in person.
