**ANOTHER ESCAPED BURN**

Today 22/12/25 Crews from. Tinana Rural Fire Brigade assisted by crews from Maryborough QFR attended an escaped burn off.

Again no assets were damaged or lost but another timely reminder of hazard reduction burns.
🔥Have a valid permit to burn.
🔥Comply with the permit conditions.
🔥Have sufficient resources available.
🔥Call help early if needed.

Today 21/12/25 members from Tinana Brigade attended an out of control burn in Bidwill with assistance from Aldershot Rural Fire Brigade and QFR crews from Maryborough.

Thankfully no assets were lost with the owner assisting crews and calling in help early.

Reminder to all public conducting burns and fires to ensure adequate breaks surround your fire and that you have sufficient resources.

🚒 MEET THE FLEET 🚒

Today we meet North Coast 76 that replaces Tinana 71, the water tanker for the local area providing water to fire attack vehicles close to or on the fireline.

👨‍🚒North Coast 76 is a single cab UD that requires a HR licence and can carry 2 firefighters where they need to go.

💦It carries 12000L of water as well as hose and a quickfill pump for keeping trucks full of water and on the fireline.🔥

🚿One hose reel on the back provides crew protection capability and some fire suppression capability if required.

North Coast 76 has seen action already attending numerous fires in the area including the recent large fire in Maryborough.

🔥 Fire in Brooweena 🔥

Some of the Tinana members gave up their Sunday afternoon yesterday to help out with a large fire in Brooweena.
Ground crews 🚒 were assisted by helicopters 🚁 and bulldozers 🚜 to contain the fire.

Crews including from Tinana returned today to patrol the fire.

Collaboration with neighbouring brigades makes jobs so much easier and better.

We have been busy in these current conditions helping land owners prepare for the summer season.

Make sure you get a permit for any burn greater the 2m in size.

Tinana RFB will have our AGM this Monday night at the fire station on Teddington Rd Tinana Sth at 6PM.

All positions will be vacant and up for election.
We are particularly seeking a Secretary who will be ably assisted by the outgoing secretary and the management committee.

A landscape burn this morning to help reduce risk and tidy up the land.
