🎶 What an incredible day today at the Festival of Schools Choir! 🎶

Our talented Taree West Public School choir students performed beautifully today, showcasing their hard work, dedication and love of music. Their voices filled the venue with joy and pride, and they represented our school with confidence and excellence.

A special thank you to Mrs Stevens and Matty Zarb for their commitment and encouragement in preparing our students, and for their expert teaching, inspiration and ongoing support of our music program. Opportunities like these help our students develop confidence, teamwork and a lifelong appreciation of the arts.

We are so proud of every choir member and the wonderful way they represented our school community. Congratulations on a fantastic performance! 🎵👏🌟

The Taree West Public School boys basketball team has progressed to the next round after an unforgettable victory over Hallidays Point Public School.

In a game that went right down to the final moments, the boys held their nerve to secure a thrilling one-point win. Strong defence was the key to their success, with every player contributing through relentless effort, communication and teamwork. The team showed great determination throughout the match, repeatedly coming up with important defensive stops when it mattered most.

The close result was a reward for the boys' hard work and commitment, both at training and on game day. They displayed excellent sportsmanship and represented Taree West Public School with pride.

Congratulations to the entire team on a fantastic achievement. We wish them all the best as they prepare for the next round of the competition.

Spelling Bee Competition Finals
On Friday, 29 May, we held our annual Arts Unit Spelling Bee Competition.

The Spelling Bee is a statewide event that encourages students to develop their literacy skills, expand their vocabulary, and build confidence in a fun and supportive environment. Students participate in a class competition, and two winners are selected to represent each class.

All students who participated in the finals did a wonderful job and should be proud of their achievement.

Congratulations to our champions and runners-up! Our champions will progress to the local area final in Term 3.
