Last night was exciting for us at Tanunda CFS & the wider Northern Barossa CFS Group with the delivery of a Brand new “34” truck. This replaces our existing “44” truck, with the most noticeable difference being we now have 2x extra Breathing Apparatus & an automatic transmission! We will miss our 44, but look forward to learning and using this new asset! If you are interested in taking a look, come see us on Saturday 16th May at the Barossa Co Op in Nuriootpa for the Northern Barossa Community Day 10am - 3pm.

Look closely at this photo.

In a few short years, every one of these cadets will have invested up to seven years training to serve something bigger than themselves. Not for recognition. Not for reward. But for their community.

These are the future responders who will run toward danger when others run away.
They’ll be on the front line of fires, standing in floodwaters, and arriving first at car accidents when seconds matter most. They will protect lives, homes, and the environment—because they choose to.

Right now, they’re sharing a meal. Building trust. Forming bonds. Learning how to rely on each other.

Because when they turn 18 and step into senior ranks, that connection won’t be optional—it will be critical.

These aren’t just cadets.

These are your future community superheroes.

While most are at home in bed, Tanunda 34P and crew are again out and assisting the community, this time on traffic control for a burst water main.
This brings us to a total of 11 callouts in the last 7 days! A huge effort by the brigade and members.

A big thankyou to the public (you) for helping us help you by always being courteous around incidents and “going with the flow” when needed.
