Majorca Town Hall

Majorca Town Hall Community Town Hall built in 1878 in the heritage goldmining township of Majorca in central Victoria

With a solid bluestone exterior and simple Victorian-era rendered facade, overlook the sweeping Pyrenees ranges from the tranquil goldmining hamlet of Majorca, in Central Victoria. Children's playground, covered free barbeque area and public toilets make this the perfect place to break your drive. The public Hall (with kitchen and supper room) is available for hire and an old time dance is held monthly.

Tomorrow from 10am: As part of the Majorca Remembrance Day service, a new information sign will be unveiled at the Majorca Memorial Park, commemorating the fallen of the district and offering histories of their lives and the town in general. Our thanks to Alex Stoneman of the Carisbrook Historical Society for his efforts in making this possible. All welcome.

A well attended Majorca memorial service today, ANZAC Day 2015.
Well done to the organisers, the MC and those who spoke, the band (special thanks to the 93yr gent who played the Last Post) and those who laid wreaths.
The Carisbrook Primary School Vice Captains and Noela Evans spoke commendably about this important day in our history.
This day, and every day, We Shall Remember Them.

Today marks the 30th anniversary of the wild fires which caused destruction in Majorca and surrounding areas.
A terrible period for our historic Town Hall and many heritage buildings.
