🔬 Learning Biology through hands-on experience! 🧬

Our Year 12 Biology students put their practical skills to work by dissecting kidneys and eyes, exploring how their specialised structures relate to their functions.

A hands-on opportunity to bring classroom learning to life and deepen their understanding of the incredible complexity of the human body! 👏🧪

🌿🔬 Photosynthesis in action!

Our Year 7 students have been investigating photosynthesis by testing leaves for starch. Using iodine, a positive test turned the leaf blue-black, providing clear evidence that glucose produced during photosynthesis had been stored as starch.

A fantastic hands-on experiment bringing science to life and helping our students see the evidence of photosynthesis for themselves!

🏉 Under 14 Girls | Division 1 Semi-Final

Our Under 14 Girls took on The Jannali High School last week in the Division 1 League Tag Semi-Final, with a place in the Term 4 Grand Final on the line.

Unfortunately, our girls went down narrowly 28–22. While understandably disappointed, they can be incredibly proud of what has been a fantastic season — finishing second on the regular season table and consistently showing effort, enthusiasm and great teamwork. 💪👏

Congratulations to all the girls on a fantastic season and for giving it your all. You represented Sylvania High with pride!

This R U OK? Day, we came together to talk openly about mental health and the importance of genuinely checking in with those around us. 💛 By asking “Are We Really OK?”, we’re encouraging our school community to have meaningful conversations, look out for one another and make checking in part of every day.

To mark this important day, we held a bake sale with all proceeds donated to 3Bridges , an organisation doing amazing work in our local community.

A huge thank you to our wonderful staff, students and families who generously donated baked goods and supported the bake sale. Your generosity helped us raise an incredible $570 for

Thank you for helping us create a community where we look out for one another. 💛
