✨ That's a wrap on In the Spotlight Dance Festival!

Over the past week, we've witnessed a spectacular showcase of talent, creativity, and teamwork from so many incredible performers. Earlier this week, our Intermediate Dance Company took to the stage and impressed the audience with an outstanding performance – their professionalism, energy, and artistry were on full display. Every dancer’s commitment and passion brought the festival to life and made it a night to remember.

A special congratulations to Arlo, who was selected to compere for the evening. Arlo was extremely professional and represented our school proudly throughout the event.

A big congratulations to all the talented dancers and everyone involved behind the scenes. Your hard work and dedication shone through every step!

Thank you to all the parents and caregivers for your unwavering support in making this event a success. We couldn't have done it without you! 💃🕺

⚖️ Year 11 Legal Studies Excursion ⚖️

Last week, our Year 11 Legal Studies students visited the NSW Supreme and District Courts , gaining valuable firsthand insight into the Australian legal system.

Students toured the Queens Square courts, as well as the historic King Street court complex, before observing a range of real-life criminal proceedings. This authentic learning experience allowed students to see the law in action and deepen their understanding of how the justice system operates.

The excursion closely aligns with the Preliminary Legal Studies syllabus and has provided students with a strong foundation as they prepare to study their Crime topic in Term 4.

A fantastic opportunity to connect classroom learning with the real world!

This Men’s Mental Health Week, we’re recognising the importance of looking after our wellbeing and supporting those around us. Mental health affects everyone, and checking in with a mate can make a real difference. We asked some of our male staff and students what they do to maintain their mental health and wellbeing.

Our focus this week is starting positive conversations, and it is great to see so many of our male role models taking part by talking openly about managing mental health.

Last week, the Junior Dance Company performed at the 'In the Spotlight Dance Festival', representing Sylvania High School to an exceptional standard!

They have worked tirelessly to learn choreography, refine movement, and develop their dance skills since the beginning of this year, bringing a tear to the eye of Mrs Kendrick, standing side stage.

Thank you to parents and caregivers for the support leading up to this event, and for being in the audience on the night. These experiences would not be possible for our students without you. Well done to the Junior Dance Company!
