Creating, connecting and giving back. At Sydney Catholic Schools, community is at the heart of everything we do. At St Vincent’s College Ashfield, the Parent Arts and Crafts Group is a wonderful example of families coming together to share their talents, build friendships and make a meaningful difference.

Parents gather to learn from one another and create handmade items including bracelets, chaplets, rosaries and key rings, which are sold at the school's Family Mass to support community initiatives.

The group also contributes to Wrap with Love, knitting and crocheting squares that are transformed into warm wraps for people experiencing trauma and extreme poverty around the world.

More than a craft group, it is a vibrant expression of the parish-school-family partnership in action - bringing people together in fellowship, creativity and service.

Thank you to the dedicated parents whose generosity, skills and commitment continue to enrich our school communities.

🌱 Caring for creation starts with curiosity.

Students from St Francis of Assisi Regional Catholic Primary School Paddington explored sustainability in action during a visit to Reverse Garbage as part of their Science learning.

Through hands-on experiences, they discovered how materials often considered waste can be reimagined and repurposed, inspiring creative thinking and a deeper sense of responsibility for the environment. Experiences like these empower students to become thoughtful stewards of our common home, putting learning into action for a more sustainable future.

St Fiacre's Catholic Primary School Leichhardt received a surprise visitor today... none other than the Prime Minister Anthony Albanese!

And while he received a very warm welcome, our students certainly didn't shy away from asking the tough questions, quizzing the Prime Minister on leadership, school life and the challenges of leading the nation.

Thank you, Prime Minister, for taking the time to visit and engage so generously with our students and the wonderful St Fiacre's school community.

Preparing students for a future of possibilities. ✨

Recognising the importance of exposing students to a broad range of post-school pathways, St Clare's College Waverley has introduced Beyond St Clare's - a new initiative connecting senior students with industry leaders and professionals from diverse sectors.

Through honest conversations, personal stories and student-led questions, the initiative gives students a unique opportunity to learn from people who have navigated their own career journeys and discovered success in different fields.

The program is helping students broaden their horizons, challenge assumptions and make more informed decisions about their futures.

Across Sydney Catholic Schools, students have recently been preparing for and celebrating the Sacraments of First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion and Confirmation.

These sacred milestones are a meaningful part of each student's faith journey, inviting them to encounter God's love, strengthen their relationship with Christ and grow as active members of the Church.

We congratulate all students who have received these sacraments and thank the families, parish communities and educators who have supported and guided them every step of the way.🙏
