We encourage you to openly discuss your views and treat others with respect. We moderate our social media channels to ensure all visitors feel welcome and included. We ask that you:
• do not harass, abuse or threaten other visitors to the site
• do not make comments that are irrelevant to the topic being discussed
• do not post comments that are likely to offend others or incite hatred, particularly in reference to an individual’s race, age, gender, sexuality, political leaning, religion, or disability
• do not make unproven or unsupported accusations against individuals or organisations
• do not make defamatory comments
• do not use obscene or offensive language
• do not post multiple versions of the same view to the wall or make excessive postings on a particular issue
• do not promote anything that may constitute spam, such as commercial interests, solicitations, advertisements, or endorsements of any non-governmental agency
• do protect your personal privacy and that of others by not including personal information of either yourself or of others in your posts to the wall (for example, names, email addresses, private addresses or phone numbers)
• do not identify matters that are currently the subject of legal proceedings or would break a court’s non-publication order
• do not post comments unrelated to the post
• do not intimidate, make threats or place someone in fear or apprehension of violence to individuals including Council staff
• do not use our social media platforms to campaign for a political purpose
Comments and posts not conforming to the above requirements will be removed. If you breach these guidelines, we may block you from Liverpool City Council’s Facebook and other social media channels. PRIVACY
