🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🌈 K–1 Athletics Carnival – Big Smiles & Plenty of Colour! 🌈🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

What a fantastic afternoon we had at our K–1 Athletics Carnival! Brighton Memorial Playing Field was filled with colour, excitement and plenty of big smiles as our youngest athletes ran, jumped, played and gave everything a go. 💚💛💙❤️

A huge thank you to Mrs May for her wonderful organisation of the carnival, to our staff for making the afternoon such a success, and to our fantastic Stage 3 student helpers who did an outstanding job supporting our younger students throughout the events. 👏

Thank you also to the many parents, carers, family members and friends who joined us and cheered from the sidelines. Your encouragement helped make the afternoon even more special!

Most importantly, congratulations to our Kindergarten and Year 1 students — little athletes with big spirit! 🌟🏅

What a wonderful week celebrating the importance of literacy and numeracy and the incredible learning taking place across our school every day!

We were extremely proud to feature in the NSW Department of Education Literacy and Numeracy Week celebrations, with our students, staff and school showcased in videos shared across the state. We have shared below the YouTube links again for anyone who may have missed them. 🎥🌟

A very special highlight was the honour of hosting Martin Graham, Deputy Secretary, Teaching, Learning and Student Wellbeing, and Jason Miezis, Executive Director, Teaching and Learning Support, as they presented a webinar from our school that was broadcast statewide to teachers across NSW. It was a wonderful opportunity to showcase the outstanding teaching, learning and initiatives happening in our classrooms.

While they were here, our visitors also had the opportunity to tour the school, drop into classrooms, meet our students and staff — and even visit our P&C Father’s Day Stall! 🎁
