The AYAH team is ready to cheer on the Blues tonight for Game 2! 🟦💙

But the real match of the day already went down in the AYAH common area. A massive thank you to our wonderful NUM, CNE, and CNS for organising the official AYAH Origin Bake Off!

The team cooked up an incredible spread of sweets and treats representing their favourite team, but there could only be one champion. Huge congratulations to Olivia, who took out the ultimate crown with her delicious Guinness cake! 🏆🎂
Go the Blues! 💙

✨ The best day ever! ✨

We had the absolute joy of watching one of our patients, 28-year-old Sammy, experience the ultimate surprise. 🔴⚪️🔵

Sammy is a massive Sydney Roosters fan who grew up watching the games with her Grampy. Despite navigating severe, complex Cystic Fibrosis, her passion for the footy shines brighter than anything.

The incredible team at the Roosters gave Sammy a tour of their facility before the players came over one-by-one to spend time chatting with her. She left the stadium with a jersey signed by the squad and a personal pair of boots gifted straight from Angus Crichton!

While she missed meeting a few of her favourites who were away training at Origin camp, she’ll be cheering them on in tonight’s big game.

Sammy told us it was "the best day of her life." Seeing her smile like this is exactly why we do what we do at AYAH—creating powerful moments that matter.

We are so grateful to the Sydney Roosters and the entire NRL community, who continue to go above and beyond to support AYAH patients.

🎨 Art, connection and self-expression at the heart of care.

Young adults from the Adolescent & Young Adult Hospice (AYAH) in Manly have showcased their artwork at the Dexus North Shore Health Hub, following a four-week creative residency delivered with ART AID.

The exhibition brought together patients, families, staff and partners to share works created during the program - highlighting creativity as a meaningful part of connection and wellbeing.

“If I could create something I’ve put everything into, and show everyone what it is, that’s success to me.” – Patrick, artist

The pilot is helping shape future creative programs within AYAH and across healthcare settings.

✨Disney Day at AYAH ✨

One of our young patients had always dreamed of visiting Disney. While making that trip wasn't possible, the AYAH team was determined to bring a little Disney magic to her instead.

For one unforgettable day, AYAH was transformed into a Disney wonderland. Staff and patients dressed up as their favourite Disney characters, Disney movies and music played throughout the day, and even our therapy dog joined in the fun with a special costume. It was a day filled with laughter, connection, and magic, creating treasured memories and bringing a lifelong dream to life in a way that was uniquely AYAH

In an instant, Sam’s life changed.

But thanks to medical research, he was given hope through an innovative stem cell transplant that helped reset his immune system.

Today, Sam has a second chance at a future he once thought was out of reach.

This EOFY, you can make more stories like Sam’s possible. Your tax-deductible donation to our charity partner, the NORTH Foundation, helps fund life-changing medical research, innovative treatments and compassionate care.

Donate before 30 June and help shape the future of healthcare ❤ bit.ly/4f66M4u

The AYAH was filled with beautiful music last week, thanks to a talented student from Manly Selective Campus who dropped in to play for our patients and families. 🎹

This piano was originally donated by a generous local community member, and it's always great to hear it being put to such good use.

Moments like this bring so much comfort to the AYAH. A big thank you to Toby from Manly Selective for sharing his time and talent with us.

$6,000+ raised, countless kilometers covered, and one incredible community coming together. 👟🌊

This year, the AYAH partnered with local Northern Beaches event STRYDE4 Day to fund a critical new role: a paid Volunteer Team Leader for our facility. Our crew took on every challenge, but the absolute inspiration of the day was Niki.

Niki joined us to honor her beautiful daughter, Ange, who passed away at age 21 from Lafora Disease, a form of Childhood Dementia. From hitting the course to diving into ocean pool swims, Niki brought pure heart, energy, and determination to every single moment—all for Ange. ✨

Niki’s personal fundraising total is currently sitting at a massive $2,694!

She is now within arm's reach of winning the prize for the event's top individual fundraiser. Let’s help her get across the finish line! If you can spare just $5 to support Niki’s page, it would mean the world to her and the entire AYAH community.

👉 Head to the link in our bio to donate to Niki’s campaign today! https://northfoundation.grassrootz.com/stryde4-day-2026-north-foundation/niki-bonnici

This National Volunteer Week, we are shining a massive spotlight on the incredible volunteers who make the AYAH such a special place. 🌟

Whether you are a regular volunteer visiting us on a weekly schedule, or an in-kind volunteer helping us bring events, activities, and special moments to life—we see you, we appreciate you, and we are so grateful for you. Oh, and we can't forget out four legged friends who offer so much support to everyone at the AYAH. 🐾🐾🐾

🙌 An extra special thank you to Dee Why RSL who sponsored our volunteer appreciation dinner last night.
👟Thank you to everyone who supported our STRYDE4 campaign! Your incredible support is helping us fund a paid Volunteer Coordinator role to grow and nurture our volunteer program.

To everyone who gives their time and energy to the AYAH this week and every week, thank you. 🩵

The Art Aid Residency is complete, but the impact is permanent. 🖼️

What happens when AYAH Manly, Dexus, and Art Aid align? We move beyond clinical care into high-impact, professional creativity.

Our 4-week creative residency wasn't just a pilot—it was a masterclass in agency. 15+ participants moved from 'patient' to Artist, producing works for our professional exhibition, "In Good Company," now permanently installed at the North Shore Health Hub.

🎥This reel is just a glimpse. We encourage you to watch the full short film of the residency and the people behind it here: 🔗 https://www.studiosoul.so/films/ayah
