The Consulate of Nepal and the Taronga Zoo jointly hosted a warm welcome for Hari, the magnificent one-horned rhinoceros of Nepalese origin. This event celebrates not only Hari’s arrival, but also the enduring friendship between Nepal and Australia, and our shared commitment to wildlife conservation.

The greater one-horned rhinoceros, native to Nepal, is a symbol of strength and resilience, and Hari’s presence at Taronga Zoo offers a powerful opportunity to raise awareness about the protection of endangered species and the importance of preserving natural heritage.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in making this occasion memorable, and we invite the community to visit Hari and learn more about Nepal’s rich biodiversity and conservation efforts. We would also encourage everyone to visit Nepal and experience Rhinos at their natural habitat.

The Consulate of Nepal kindly requests all applicants who have secured an appointment for the Passport Renewal Service in Sydney on 28 February and 1 March 2026 to arrive strictly at their allocated time slot.

Please note that all appointments are fully booked. We respectfully ask that you not to attend the Sydney location on these dates without a confirmed booking from the Consulate of Nepal. There are no walk-in slots available, and we will not be able to accommodate anyone without a prior appointment.

Your cooperation will help us manage the service efficiently and minimize waiting times for everyone.

The Consulate of Nepal, Sydney extends its sincere gratitude to the Embassy of Nepal team, Her Excellency Ambassador, NRNA Australia, and all dedicated volunteers for their invaluable support and cooperation during the recent Passport service program.

We also warmly appreciate all service recipients for their patience, understanding, and excellent coordination with the team. Over the course of two days, 227 individuals were successfully benefited from this service, making the program a great success.

We look forward to providing more such services in the near future and value the continued close cooperation and support from everyone involved.
