We are the UNSW Aerospace Society, an AIAA Student Branch. We aim to connect students with each other and with industry through social and professional events!

AIAA UNSW is a student branch of the American Institute of Aeronautics & Astronautics (AIAA). The student branch is based at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. AIAA is the world’s largest technical society dedicated to the global aerospace profession. With more than 35,000 individual members worldwide, and 90 corporate members, AIAA brings together industry, academia, and government to advance engineering and science in aviation, space, and defense. The student branch aims to promote AIAA within the university community and help facilitate links between professional industry and UNSW students.

AURORA, the Annual UNSW Rover Operations & Robotics Arena, is here! Design, build, and compete with your very own rover-inspired robot!

Your mission? Navigate a prepared competition track, collect rock samples, transport mission-critical payloads, and return safely before time runs out. Teams will have 120 seconds to complete the challenge and score points through collecting, supporting, and depositing rocks.
