Winding up National Road Safety Week 💛✨🙏🏻 …We thank our incredible LBDF student volunteers ❤️❤️❤️🦕 who have been hard at work in our community educating people about the importance of understanding the vulnerability of our children near roads, driveways and in carparks.

Special thanks to the amazing Director, Stephanie and her staff at Only About Children- Artarmon (OAC) for inviting Little Blue Dinosaur Foundation in today for a road safety talk ❤️🦕✨🙏🏻 👫👫👫🚙🚌🚒

We discussed keeping safe around roadways, driveways and shopping centre car parks and how important it is to ALWAYS hold an adult
by the hand when we are out in our community!

We read the Tom’s Holiday story book because road safety is necessary 365 days per annum.

This preschool is located within a super busy industrial zone with many moving trucks and vehicles.Parents will be educated via newsletter using LBDF’s child road safety information for parents and carer for National Road Safety Week 💛✨ 2026

Today, Little Blue Dinosaur Foundation ❤️🦕visited St Angela's Primary School in the Hills District, Sydney NSW to talk ‘ROAD SAFETY’ during National Road Safety Week! So lovely for me to go back to where I grew up.

We are grateful for the opportunity to share lifesaving road safety knowledge and resources with all the students from Kindergarten to Year 6.

Nothing makes me happier than to spread the message of ‘hold my hand ‘ & help children understand how important that simple action is in helping them to keep safe outside a vehicle given their cognitive, physical & perceptual limitations around roadways, driveways and carparks.

In addition, the students have made a well
informed road safety video for their parents to view around safe drop off & pick up at their school via their page. Well done everyone 🙏🏻💖💖💖💖🚌🚙🚚🛵 at St. Angela’s and special thanks to their Principal, Mrs Nettleton and teaching staff for supporting this project….Thanking you all for your amazing attention to protecting your students from road trauma through effective communication and education of your student and parent community.

It’s National Road safety week around Australia May 17-24 💛…. An awareness campaign founded by Safer Australian Roads and Highways SARAH Group.

It means ‘Drive So Others Survive’. Don’t drive under the influence of drugs, alcohol, distraction or fatigue.

Your actions may cause your own death or serious injury to yourself and others.

We all want to get home safely - it’s our responsibility to care for not just ourselves but others.

When we lose a loved one suddenly to the unimaginable I can vouch for the fact that the impact and pain of that loss is with you daily. IT NEVER LEAVES YOU - there is no escaping that agony.

Drive mindfully and responsibly on our roads. A second doing the wrong thing can destroy your future. It’s not worth it…. 💔💙💙💙.

National Road Safety Week

It was a privilege and a pleasure to represent Little Blue Dinosaur Foundation alongside other New South Wales road safety leaders and advocates at the 2031 Road Safety Action Plan Stakeholder Forum and the launch of the 2026 National Road Safety Week. I had the wonderful opportunity to reconnect with esteemed colleagues, including Bernard Carlon PSM from Transport for New South Wales and Peter Frazer OAM, Founder of Safer Roads And Highways, whom I have known for over a decade. Our very vulnerable child road users need a voice.

Little Blue Dinosaur Foundation is sending much love to all those affected by the loss of their mum or child today 🩵🌻. Special days are tough going but, what I try to do is remember all the love and happiest of memories today on Mother’s Day and always. It will carry us through and soothe our hearts.

Lest we forget our brave men & women who defended our freedom. Many lives lost and sacrifices made for the love of our country ❤️🇦🇺. I can imagine the incredible sorrow of families who lost sons, daughters, siblings & grandchildren in war.

If you are about in our communities today with your children please take care and hold their hands in busy traffic areas- particularly those 10 years and younger.

A busy Easter in beautiful sunny Tathra, NSW - lots of kids on bikes and on foot …Some with parental supervision and some without. Cars about & car park full at the beachside.
Great to have the very progressive Bega Valley Shire Council working so closely with us over the holiday period to raise critical community awareness to child road safety at this busy time! AWARENESS & REMINDERS PREVENT TRAGEDY.

Sending our love this Easter to all the bereaved families missing their precious children 🩵.

We miss our children everyday but, special family days the heaviness of the absence is felt more deeply.

I will always vividly remember my gorgeous little fellow, Tom running around our yard on Easter Sunday with a big smile, laughing and excitedly collecting chocolate eggs that the Easter bunny had left especially for him.
