HONORARY LIFE MEMBER | DORI MILLER
In August, we were incredibly proud and grateful 🌻 to recognise Dori Miller as an Honorary Life Member of Bondi Surf Bathers Life Saving Club.
Life Membership is the Club’s highest honour 👏, recognising sustained, distinguished and conspicuous service and a lasting contribution to our Club and its members.
Since joining Bondi 🔵⚪ in 2010, Dori has given so much of herself ❤️ to the Club . She has been a leader 💫, mentor, competitor 🏊, coach 🎤, organiser and lifesaver 📢, always generous with her time, knowledge and energy, and always looking for ways to create opportunities for others.
Surf Sports has been Dori’s great passion. She has served as Director of Surf Sports since 2018/19, helping to build Bondi’s Masters program into one of Australia’s most successful, including an incredible nine consecutive Australian Masters Championships 👌🥇.
Dori’s physical and mental strength is truly extraordinary 🏅🧘⭐.
And her achievements away from Bondi are just as remarkable. Dori has completed nine marathons and has swum the English Channel more than four times, including a double crossing, there and back! She is one of the most respected distance swimmers on the Channel.
But while those achievements are extraordinary, what makes Dori so special to us is the person behind them ❤️.
Despite everything she has accomplished, Dori remains incredibly humble, kind, inclusive and generous with her time. She is always willing to lend a hand, share her knowledge, encourage others and simply get on with whatever needs to be done.
She is a true leader, a safe pair of hands, and someone who has made a lasting difference to so many people at Bondi.
