On Tuesday 8 September and Wednesday 9 September, the Select Committee on Emergency Services Funding Reform held two public hearings as part of its inquiry into Emergency Services Funding Reform.
The Committee was established to inquire into and report on options for a replacement levy model for NSW emergency services funding.
During the public hearings at NSW Parliament, the Committee heard that it was important to ensure any replacement levy was equitable and could appropriately resource emergency services into the future. Witnesses also spoke about the need to ensure insurance is affordable.
