Skilled Labourer Wanted – Full Time

MWP Community Care | Northern Beaches

MWP Community Care is looking for a reliable and experienced Skilled Labourer to join our Home Modifications & Maintenance team.

You’ll work across the Northern Beaches helping older people stay safe and independent in their own homes through minor home modifications, maintenance and repairs.

💪🏼 The Role

- Minor home modifications and maintenance
- Basic carpentry and handyman work
- Installation of grab rails and safety equipment
- General repairs and property maintenance
- Assisting trades with larger jobs

About You 👋🏼

- Labouring, construction, maintenance or handyman experience
- Confident with hand and power tools
- Reliable, practical and able to work independently
- Friendly and respectful with clients
- Current Australian driver’s licence

Full-time, Monday–Friday with a great local team and meaningful work. ⭐️

Meet Neville – our MWP Gentle Giant! 💙

Neville has been volunteering with MWP since 2022, helping older clients get out, stay connected and enjoy our outings.

After a serious medical emergency, months of rehabilitation and more than a year away from driving, Neville was determined to get back to doing what he loves.

He kept volunteering in whatever way he could — washing buses, helping staff and assisting on outings — until he was finally cleared to drive again.

When Neville returned, our clients were over the moon!
His kindness, resilience and unwavering commitment to others make him a truly special volunteer.

Volunteer of the Year? We certainly think so! 👏💙

THIS IS WHY WE SIT. MEET IRIS. 💙

At 91 years young, Iris is living proof of what strength, support and determination can achieve.

Two years ago, Iris couldn’t walk to her local shops. Her mobility had declined, and the independence she valued was slipping away.

Then she joined MWP Community Care’s exercise classes — and what a difference we’ve seen! 🙌

Two years on, Iris is stronger, active and independent again. Through regular exercise and nutrition education, she’s maintaining her muscle mass, building strength and, most importantly, continuing to do the everyday things that keep her connected to her community.

And THAT is what Sit for Seniors is all about. 💙

Every wall sit. Every donation. Every dollar raised helps MWP continue supporting seniors like Iris to stay strong, stay independent and keep living life on their terms.
