Out of sight shouldn't mean out of mind.
Your first aid kit might be sitting in the cupboard or car, but when was the last time you actually opened it?

Our research found 78% of Australians have access to a first aid kit, but only 35% have checked their home kit in the past 12 months for missing or expired items.

This World First Aid Day, give yours five minutes of attention. You never know when you'll need it.

The clock’s winding down. Sunday is the final whistle. Have you got your ticket? ⚽🎟️

The Every Beat Matters raffle closes this Sunday at 3pm! But don’t worry, there’s still time to help put more defibrillators on football sidelines across NSW – and go into the draw to win a Toyota Corolla ZR Hatch, generously donated by Toyota Australia

We’ve teamed up with Football NSW and Toyota to help more clubs be ready when an emergency strikes.

Sudden cardiac arrest can affect people of any age, including young, fit players. From the pitch to the sidelines, having an accessible defibrillator and people ready to act can help save a life.

Every $5 ticket helps fund defibrillators and ongoing maintenance, so more clubs have equipment ready when it’s needed most.

⏰ Tickets close Sunday 13 September at 3pm AEST.
🏆 Grand prize drawn at 3:30pm AEST, with the winner announced at the NPL New South Wales Grand Final.

Ready to back your football community? Take your shot at winning and help more clubs be prepared.

Sometimes looking out for someone starts with something very simple: making a little room for a conversation. 💛

Today, our St John NSW team came together for an R U OK? Day morning tea and a chat with Andrew from our Peer Support Team about noticing the people around us, asking how they're going and taking the time to really listen.

Because asking the question is only part of it. We also need to make it feel safe to answer honestly.

And when someone does open up, we don't need to have all the answers or immediately try to fix things. Sometimes the most helpful thing we can do is ask what they need in that moment. Do they want support finding a way forward, or do they just need someone to listen?

R U OK? Day gives us a reminder to ask today. Making space for each other matters every day.

Not all heroes wear capes. Some are dads who know First Aid. ❤️

When Ben’s toddler began choking, he knew what to do. He stayed focused, acted quickly and saved his child’s life.

This Father’s Day, we are celebrating Ben and all the dads and father figures who step up when their families need them most.

Knowing First Aid can make all the difference when every second counts.

Tag a dad who is your hero. 👇

One of our own is a finalist for Westfield’s Local Hero Award and we couldn’t be prouder.

We asked James Unwin what he’d do if he wins the $20,000 grant. Watch below to hear it in his own words – then vote to help make it happen!

James is an EMT and 2IC at our Paddington Combined Division, and has volunteered with St John NSW for 10 years.

Voting is open now until 20 September. Head to the link in the comments and vote for James!
