A police es**rt will accompany Uncle Ivan Wellington’s cortege as it makes its way to the Billabong Parklands for next Thursday’s memorial service. The procession along Queen Street will start from 9.15am next Thursday, September 17, and will be an opportunity for local residents to pay their final respects to Campbelltown’s legendary Aboriginal elder, who passed away last week at the age of 80. The procession will go past Campbelltown Council, where all four flags, including the Aboriginal one, will be at half mast. The memorial at the Billabong is scheduled to start from 10am.
