Good evening 23 BN. Looking forward to seeing you all on the range this weekend for AFX. Just a reminder to please make sure you get those consent forms uploaded on CadetNet before the weekend (both pages). Also just a reminder to bring a packed lunch and snacks with you on Saturday. Weather forecast for Singleton is currently looking good (high of 28 degrees and low of 11 degrees with no rain!) A lot of great activities planned by both NSW Brigade and our senior cadets so should be a great week. Regards, BN XO.

Well done 26 ACU.

Congratulations to the Officer Commanding of 238 Army Cadet Unit - Shoalhaven, Capt (AAC) Neil Barrett, on being awarded the National Australia Day Achievement Award.

What a great honour to join with members of the Sussex Inlet RSL Sub-Branch and community to present the 2025 National Australia Day Achievement Award to Neil Andrew Barrett.

Neil has given exemplary commitment to ex-service veterans, their families, and the local community on behalf of the RSL of Australia (NSW) through service excellence over 10 years as President and Welfare Officer of the Sussex Inlet RSL sub-Branch, and in the establishment of 238 Army Cadet Unit.

Neil is an icon here in terms of his support to veterans and their families and the community in general. A very well deserved award.

Last week of parading for 2024.
Thank you to our volunteer Adult Cadet Staff members for making our youth development organisation a success.
Thank you to all cadets! It is always a privilege to be working with the next generation of leaders and being able to experience their accomplishments and success along side them.

Well done 23 BN, it has been a pleasure to spend a week with all 214 cadets and 36 staff that headed home today after our 2024 AFX.
We had over 1200 NSW 1st Brigade AAC members from across the state in the training area for 7 days engaging in a variety of activities supported by the ADF.
It was fantastic to have everyone be able to get to the MTR and the School of Infantry.
Having our entire Brigade formed on parade was certainly a sight to behold!
A special mention to our Wollongong CDTSGT who was awarded a Commanders bronze Commendation for exceptional leadership!
I want to thank each and every member, cadets and adult staff for the privilege of my first activity as Battalion Commander and I look forward to the final term of 2024.
!

This is a small token of appreciation for their dedication to cadets, which has now culminated with the completion of their training.

We wish all recipients a prosperous career in their respective corps and continue to uphold the Australian Army Cadets values.
