We wanted to congratulate Liv on her outstanding achievements at the NSW PSSA Girls' Football Championships. As captain of the Sydney North Invitational team, she led her team to a remarkable 5th place in all of NSW!!!!
We were lucky to have some live streams to watch, with her little brother James getting to see her in action!

What an inspiring day at NLPS. Excellence in all areas. A terrific group of Year 5 students participated at Narrabeen Sports High School NEST program learning Ancient history.
Lily-Rose (Yr2) was awarded a bronze award for her wonderful writing from the NSW WriteOn competition. She was also 1 of 3 chosen to read her story at the State Library.
Finally, we had Liv captaining the Sydney North NSW PSSA Girls' Football Championships. She led her team to a remarkable 5th place in all of NSW!!!!
The Lakes may be small but we excel broadly. 💪

What a fantastic week it has been for our 3 bands. Last Friday evening, the training and intermediate band had a terrific workshop, including some fun bonding games. Today our senior band had an amazing workshop with the NSW Police Band. The whole school then enjoyed an exciting performance. Thanks to Mrs Power for organising these events; Miss Burke and Mr Power for their tuition and Our year 6 band mentors for assisting. 🎶🥁

🏆 STATE CHAMPION! 🏆

We are SO proud of Millie B, who was part of the successful Sydney North Girls’ Touch Football Team that won the NSW State Championships this week! 🎉🙌

What an incredible achievement and a journey six months in the making — starting with trialling for our school team and progressing through each of the representative pathways, all the way to becoming a NSW State Champion! 🏅

Millie’s hard work, commitment and determination have truly paid off and we couldn’t be more proud of her achievement.

📚 Book Week at NLPS! ❤️💙

What a wonderful week of celebrating books, reading and imagination at Narrabeen Lakes Public School!

We kicked off Book Week with a special Author Visit from Kristin Darell, inspiring our students and bringing the magic of books to life.

A huge thank you to our wonderful NLPS community for joining us for our Book Week Parade and Open Day, and to all our families for the amazing costumes. It was fantastic to see our students dressed as their favourite book characters!

Our teachers also embraced the Book Week spirit with their fantastic Very Hungry Caterpillar team costume — complete with an entertaining performance of the story! 🐛🦋

Thank you to our Library Monitors for hosting the parade and reading the story, and to Miss Garden, our Teacher Librarian, for her incredible organisation and all the work she puts into making Book Week such a special celebration.

We were also treated to some amazing performances from our Stage 2 and 3 Dance Groups, Year 2 Choir, Years 3–6 Choir, Intermediate Band and Senior Band. A huge thank you to the teachers who choreograph, rehearse, teach and inspire our students throughout the year. 🌟

And the fun continues with Finding Derek — a treasure hunt around the school celebrating Derek, by Anne Donaldson and Matt Shanks, and a firm favourite with our students from Kindergarten to Year 6! 🔎📖

Stage 2 choir are having an amazing day rehearsing with schools from all across Sydney for their concert at Town Hall in a couple of weeks. Lots of smiles and singing 🎶

A big thank you to Narrabeen Sports High School students and Miss Ling for a fabulous science morning. Our year 6 students loved learning from you all about ecology. They particularly enjoyed creating and testing their own seed dispersal machines.

Celebrating Our Community 💙❤️

WOW! What an incredible show of community support! 🎉

NLPS has raised just over $600 to help Liv and Millie with the costs associated with such a wonderful achievement — representing NLPS and Sydney North at the State level! 🏆

A huge thank you to everyone who got involved and supported the fundraiser. Your generosity means so much to Liv and Millie, who are truly humbled and grateful for your support. ❤️
