🇪🇺 🇦🇺 A major milestone for Australia–EU research and innovation cooperation. Today, the European Commission and Australia successfully concluded negotiations on Australia's association to Horizon Europe, the European Union's €93.5 billion research and innovation programme.

Australia will associate to Pillar II of Horizon Europe, creating new opportunities for collaboration in areas including digital technologies, industry and space, climate, energy and mobility, and food, bioeconomy and agriculture.

This milestone builds on an already strong research partnership between Australia and Europe and reflects a shared commitment to addressing global challenges through international collaboration, scientific excellence and innovation.

At Euraxess Australia and New Zealand, we look forward to continuing to support researchers, innovators, industry and institutions as Australia prepares for this new chapter in Horizon Europe engagement.
