Police are investigating a suspicious fire at a to***co store in Sunshine this morning.

Emergency services responded to the large fire at the business on Dickson Street about 3.15am.

Five people were inside the building on the first floor at the time of the incident.

They managed to self-evacuate and there were no reported injuries.

Police were told a white SUV left the scene shortly afterwards.

No arrests have been made at this stage.

Investigations are ongoing into the circumstances of the incident.

Yvonne is missing.

The 35-year-old was last seen in Deer Park on Tuesday 1 September.

It is unknown what Yvonne was last seen wearing but she is described as African in appearance, tall with a thin build

Police and family have concerns for her welfare due to a medical condition.

Happy birthday, Logiebear!
Vehicle Crime Squad detectives are hoping to unite a birthday card and a sum of cash with the birthday boy after it was retrieved from an allegedly stolen vehicle last month.
Officers identified several stolen vehicles while attending an Altona North storage facility on 28 August.
Items contained within one of the cars have since been returned to their rightful owner, however the origin of the birthday card, and the identity of its intended recipient remain a mystery.
A 43-year-old Altona North man has since been arrested in relation to the theft of motor vehicle from a Tullamarine address.
Anyone wishing to claim the card will need to identify who it is from, the recipient, and the sum of cash, and contact the Vehicle Crime Squad on 9906 0013.

Detectives from North West Metro Regional Crime Squad have arrested two men in Keilor East as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.

Yesterday, two search warrants were executed at addresses on Surrey Drive about 2pm.

Investigators located and seized a number of items from the properties, including a significant quantity of methylamphetamine and ketamine, cash, electronic devices, a flick knife, an outstanding stolen dirt bike, a cash counter and a hand gr***de.

The explosive was rendered safe, and no one was injured.

Detectives also located a key to a vehicle, which was found to be parked nearby. A search of the vehicle revealed a quantity of ketamine.

A 30-year-old man and the 28-year-old man were arrested at the scene and have since been charged.

The pair were remanded to appear before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 4 September.

A man out on his morning walk in St Albans has been stabbed in what appears an unprovoked attack.

The victim was walking near Ginifer Railway Station, at the intersection of Mulhall Drive and St Albans Road, when he was approached from behind and stabbed on Thursday 3 September about 3.20am.

The 68-year-old man received a laceration to his lower back and puncture wound to his shoulder.

He managed to contact a family member who called police before he made his way home and was treated by ambulance paramedics.

The St Albans man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

At this stage the motivation surrounding the incident is unclear as no demands or exchange or words was involved.

The offender, who is described as a Caucasian male with a solid build and was wearing dark clothing, was last seen running from the scene towards Mulhall Drive.

Thomas is missing.
The 19-year-old was last seen at his Derrimut home about 4pm on 2 September.
Police and family have concern for his welfare.
It’s believed Thomas may be travelling by bus or other public transport.
