August was another fun, active and productive month for our Brimbank and Maribyrnong groups! 🌸☀️

We kept busy with creative resin activities, enjoyed light exercise and gentle sport, celebrated birthdays together, and made the most of the first beautiful signs of spring with walks outdoors. 🌿🚶‍♀️🎂
It’s always wonderful to see everyone getting involved, trying something new, staying active and, most importantly, enjoying each other’s company.

Goodbye August — we’re looking forward to more fun, laughter, creativity and special moments in September! Come and have a great time with us!

Kolovoz je bio još jedan zabavan, aktivan i produktivan mjesec za naše Brimbank i Maribyrnong grupe!

Bili smo vrijedni i kreativni izrađivali lijepe predmete od smole (resina), uživali smo u laganim vježbama i sportskim aktivnostima, proslavili rođendane i iskoristili prve proljetne sunčane dane za šetnju na svježem zraku. 🌿🚶‍♀️🎂

Lijepo je vidjeti naše članove kako sudjeluju u aktivnostima, isprobavaju nešto novo, ostaju aktivni i, što je najvažnije, uživaju u druženju.

Doviđenja, kolovoz — veselimo se još više zabave, smijeha, kreativnosti i lijepih trenutaka u rujnu! Pridružite nam se!

Over the past two weeks, participants from the North Social Group enjoyed a creative jewellery-making project. They began by designing colourful beaded earrings, encouraging creativity, social connection, and fine motor skill development. This week, participants used resin to complete their jewellery pieces, learning new skills and taking pride in creating unique handmade accessories. The activity fostered creativity, confidence, and a strong sense of achievement.

Tijekom protekla dva tjedna sudionici grupe u sjevernom dijelu grada sudjelovali su u kreativnom projektu izrade nakita. Izrađivali su šarene naušnice od perlica, razvijajući kreativnost i potičući druženje te međusobno povezivanje. Ovog tjedna koristili su epoksidnu smolu (resin) kako bi dovršili svoje unikatne komade nakita, pritom usvajajući nove vještine i s ponosom stvarajući jedinstvene ručno rađene modne dodatke. Aktivnost je potaknula kreativnost, samopouzdanje i osjećaj postignuća.

As part of the Home Support Program, Australian Croatian Community Services (ACCS) is seeking workers to assist elderly members of our community to live safely and independently at home and within the community.
Work experience and qualifications are desirable but not required.
