After its logo and quotes were used in what Labor has described as a ‘misinformation’ campaign, the peak doctors body has been forced to clear the air.

Election candidates are used to having their campaign signs defaced but one state MP was so impressed with a graffitied placard that he started a competition. Member for Nicklin Rob Skelton showed off a sign that was transformed by an unknown member of the public in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. .....

Jarrod Bleijie is one of the many dinosaurs of the LNP who don’t believe in a woman’s right to choose.

He voted against the removal of abortion in the criminal code, and he recently voted against giving regional Qld women access to termination of pregnancy.

If the LNP is elected, he will be the Deputy Premier.

If the LNP is elected, we’ll have dinosaurs like him in charge of women’s healthcare.

The courier Mail operates in a different dimension of infallible LNP nonsense. This editorial should get the editor sacked for blatant lies, dishonesty and unprofessional conduct.
A basic Google search will show that T.J. Ryan won the 1919 election with an extra 3 seats and improved margin. He was then conscripted into running for Federal Parliament where he was slated to be Treasurer, but sadly died on the hustings from Spanish Flu. Red Ted Theodore followed him and held office till 1929.
The successful publicly owned enterprises they both set up were in response to a postwar recession and included butcher shops, sawmills, hotels, railway refreshments rooms ( when trains were the most popular way to travel) and of course the SGIO. The Tory opposition of squatters and Brisbane merchants (no Libs, Nats or LNP then) hated it and the Courier Mail lambasted them. Not much changes.
A simple apology to the Qld people would be a good start.

The Albanese Labor Government understands safe and affordable housing is central to the security and dignity of all Australians.

That’s why the Budget delivered new action to help Australian renters, expand opportunities for home ownership and bolster frontline homelessness services.

We are saying “Yes”.

We said ‘Yes’ back in 2017. Now, we need to say ‘Yes’ again.

This year, Australia has the chance to recognise the First Peoples of Australia, and the value of First Nations voices, experiences and leadership.

This progress flag, made of journey lines and meeting places, was created by Wiradjuri and Birpai man, Wayde Clarke, to symbolise the inclusion of everyone – no matter what journey life takes you on.

For Wayde, voting ‘Yes’ in this referendum is simply the right thing to do as a matter of inclusion, and recognition.

Equality Australia was born from a public vote, when LGBTIQ+ people and our allies stood together to make marriage equality a reality.

We won marriage equality after more than a decade of campaigning and only because our friends, families and people who just thought it was the right thing to do stood with us and voted 'Yes'.

The Voice to Parliament stems from decades of advocacy from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people seeking a fairer future and a say in the policies that affect them.

So for this referendum, we couldn’t be silent. We are saying 'Yes'.

Our communities overlap, and we're stronger when we stand together.

Add your voice and say 'Yes' to the Voice to Parliament. Share this post if you’re saying 'Yes'!
