THIRD PANEL ANNOUNCEMENT | GRANTLEY SWITZER

We’re excited to announce Grantley Switzer, Sunshine Coast Council’s Head of 2032 Games Coordination, as our third panellist for Go for Gold.

With more than 20 years’ experience in Local Government, Grantley brings extensive knowledge and insight into community infrastructure, planning and the delivery of major projects.

Grantley has played a significant role in the Sunshine Coast’s journey towards Brisbane 2032. While working with Sunshine Coast Council, he was an integral part of the Sunshine Coast and wider delivery partner team involved in the International Olympic Committee candidature process that ultimately saw Brisbane awarded the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

In April 2022, Grantley moved into his current full-time role as Head of 2032 Games Coordination, helping coordinate the Sunshine Coast’s role in the Games and the opportunities they present for our region.

With Brisbane 2032 set to leave a lasting legacy across the Sunshine Coast, Grantley will provide valuable insight into the planning, infrastructure and coordination behind this once-in-a-generation opportunity.

We’re looking forward to hearing his perspective on what 2032 means for our region, our community and local businesses.
