It was a great pleasure to welcome over 400 bowlers, their families, parents and carers for a two week competition, the 37th National Disability Tenpin Bowling Championships held at Sun City Bowling centre Alexandra Headland.
οΏΌThere are teams registered to compete from every state and territory in Australia, last year this event was held in Perth.
I had the privilege to officially open the championships and bowl the first ball, which was a gutter ball. They were very nice and said that was a warm up and gave me another bowl, which to my surprise was a strike and the crowd erupted.
These bowlers may have a disability but the excitement and joy and kindness and warmth they showed me, it was such a delight to be there with them.
If you see any of these competitors please make them feel welcomed.

βœ… Great news for Mooloolaba locals and visitors!

The replant of the Parkyn Parade roundabout was successfully completed last Friday, delivering a fresh new look and improved functionality for this key coastal gateway. 🌴

This upgrade not only enhances safety and traffic flow, but will contribute to a more welcoming and attractive streetscape for everyone enjoying the area.

A big thank you to the project team and our community for your patience during the works β€” it’s fantastic to see these improvements now in place! πŸš§πŸ‘
