Our student leaders have continued to demonstrate initiative by running our Father’s Day Stall, giving students the chance to select a special gift for the fathers, grandfathers, carers, mentors and other important men in their lives.

It has been wonderful to see our student leaders embrace the opportunity to organise and deliver an event that celebrates the people who support, encourage and inspire our students. Their enthusiasm and commitment are a wonderful reflection of our school community

We hope all the dads, grandads and father figures in our Sunnybank community enjoyed Father's Day! 🎉

Our students recently had the opportunity to take part in the RACQ Driver IQ Program — an interactive and engaging road safety session designed to help empower young and novice drivers to make safe, informed decisions throughout their driving journey. The program provided students with practical, real-world strategies to empower them as novice drivers and thrive throughout their driving journey.

Our students were engaged throughout the presentation and took away some important lessons about making safe choices, managing risk and looking out for themselves and others on the road.

A big thank you to RACQ for visiting our school and helping our students build the knowledge, confidence and resilience they need to become safer drivers. We hope the lessons from today will stay with them throughout their driving journey!

GETTING SHOWCASE READY! 🎺🎻🥁🎶

Our Instrumental Music students have been working hard to get performance-ready for Arts Showcase 2026! Last term, students had a fantastic opportunity to extend their skills through specialist sessions while mentoring our Sunnybank Primary IM students. With the support of our IM Coordinator and IM teachers, students worked with industry professional Lurissa Masters in various workshops throughout the day. Now they’re putting that learning into action and getting ready to take the Showcase stage! 🎶

🎉 Congratulations, Agatha! 🎉

We are so proud of Agatha for her exceptional work with the Lord Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council 2026.

Agatha has been actively participating, sharing her voice and representing Sunnybank State High School brilliantly throughout the program.

As recognition of her involvement, Agatha was invited to attend Australian National Flag Day.

What a wonderful achievement, Agatha! We are incredibly proud of you and the way you continue to represent our school community.

Year 10 Immunisation – Tomorrow

A reminder to parents and carers who have registered and provided consent for their Year 10 child to participate in the SIP that immunisations will take place tomorrow.

Year 7 Students who were registered but did not attend their clinic are also welcome. SIP has notified families and Students have received appointment cards this week.

Please ensure your child is aware they are scheduled to participate.
