With love and gratitude, we share that Jenny, one of our own soldiers, went to be with Jesus on Saturday.

Jenny’s family warmly invite all who knew and loved her to join them for a Celebration of Life service:

Light refreshments will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, Jenny’s family have asked that donations be made to The Salvation Army, a place that held a very special place in her heart.

Cupcake Visitation is a ministry that is well and truly alive at Westside Melbourne Salvos.
A big thank you to the wonderful women who faithfully serve through this ministry of kindness and presence.

🍳 Cooking on a Budget – Limited Seats Left!

Another great Westside Melbourne Salvos community program is happening and the April class is almost full!

Join Captain Phuong, Alison & Dorothy as they share simple, practical ways to cook tasty meals without breaking the budget. A relaxed morning of learning, cooking, and good company.

📅 The second Thursday of each month, and the Westside Melbourne Salvos Sunshine kitchen will be the classroom.

⏰ 10:30am – 12:30pm
Seats are limited and only a few spots remain for April, so jump in quick!
At Westside we believe good food and good community belong at the same table. 🥘

Our Friday Community Lunch and Cafe Chat today saw Captain Fi emphasise the honouring of women and this Sunday's International Women's Day celebration.
We revisited the story of the un-named slave girl during the Passion Week who called out Peter's hypocrisy in the first of his three denials. She was lowly, unnoticed and seemingly insignificant; yet she had a voice...she was brave...and she spoke with truth and integrity. May we also do the same. Ladies, we see, hear and celebrate you!

It was a privilege to share with our sisters and brothers in the 2026 World Day of Prayer service at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Sunbury.

Fantastic day today at our community lunch with Captain Colin bringing us a message about change - change in seasons, change in weather, change in our bodies and health - how it is inevitable and how we can find peace in God (the one who never changes) amidst the chaos around us.
