🌱 Free Seed Starting Workshop 🌱
Would you like to learn how to grow plants from seed but aren't sure where to start?
Saturday, 18 July, Sunbury Community Garden will be running a relaxed, beginner-friendly workshop from 1:15 pm to 2:00 pm, just before our community working bee (2:00 pm – 4:00 pm).
This is completely optional—come along if you're interested, or simply join us later for the working bee.
To make the session as practical as possible, feel free to bring:
🌿 Some seeds you'd like to grow.
🪴 A container you'd like to use to start your seeds.
🌱 Something you think would make a good seed-raising mix (potting mix, compost, coco coir, garden soil—or anything else you're curious about!).
The workshop is all about keeping things simple. You don't need expensive equipment or special products to grow from seed. We'll look at what everyone brings, discuss what works (and why), what doesn't, and the basic principles that give seeds the best chance of success.
If you don't have anything to bring, that's absolutely fine too—come along, ask questions, and join in. Everyone is welcome, whether you've never grown a seed before or have a little experience and would like to learn more.
Hope to see you there! 🌱😊
