A big congratulations to our junior brigade members on winning 2nd place at the Diamond Creek Torchlight Parade last night!

Congratulations to Andrea, Georgia, Jake, Jason, Jeff, and Sven on successfully completing the Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb!!

Also great work by Sarah and Simon who helped with the Breathing Apparatus and Murray who was at the finish line.

Thank you for what you've done and the difference you make. Our members have raised over $7000 for Lifeline, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and 000 Foundation which will help fight cancer, depression, and su***de.

Six of our members will be completing the Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb in the morning. They are currently scheduled to climtb the 28 floors at 7:10am (Update, 8:10am)

As members of the emergency services family, we know the importance of having each other's backs.

The challenges we face on the job, combined with everyday life pressures, can sometimes feel overwhelming. Taking a moment to ask a mate, colleague or loved one "R U OK?" shows that they don't have to face those challenges alone.

This R U OK? Day, let's continue building a culture where checking in is normal, support is encouraged and no one feels they have to struggle in silence.

Because looking after our communities starts with looking after each other. 💛

Will our truck fit down your street if there's an emergency? 🚒🚨

Our trucks require a minimum of 4 (four) metres to safely navigate through streets, and cars parked on both sides of a narrow street can stop us getting to you in an emergency.

Does your street meet the criteria? Let us know a street of concern and we'll add it to our list to check. 🚒📏

Today we're celebrating the dads and father figures who answer the call, support their families, and inspire the next generation.

From first fire truck rides to years of service, firefighter dads help shape the next generation through their dedication, community spirit and love for family.

Whether it's sharing a love of firefighting, serving the community, or simply leading by example, the impact of a great dad lasts a lifetime.

To all the firefighter dads, stepdads, grandads and father figures in our brigade and community, thank you for everything you do.

👨🏻‍🚒👩🏻‍🚒Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb preparation is INTENSIFYING! 🧯🪓

With only 8 days to go until the big day, our members have been busy putting their bodies through arduous training!

🏋️ Jason and Georgia felt the heat with an early morning intensive 45 minute cardio summit training session in full PPC at BFT Sunbury! See their workout in the comment section!🔥💪🏼

🏃Jeff and Andrea spent this afternoon climbing stairs in full PPC with Jeff completing 54 floors at Sunbury’s multi-storey carpark wearing a 20kg weighted vest, and Andrea completing 1014 steps wearing a 12kg weighted vest at the Darley stairs! 🌳

💪🏼 Sven and Jake have been ramping up their work outs at their respective gyms (with no time for work out photos, so cfa training photos instead! 📸). Sven has been heavily utilising the stair climber at Advance Fitness Sunbury, while Jake has been focusing on weights to build muscle and endurance! 🏋️

Great work to all of our members who are participating in this year’s stair climb!
