OUR DINGOES NEED YOUR VOICE 📣

🐾🐾 Hi everyone, our wonderful MP, Emma Hurst is chairing the NSW Parliamentary Inquiry into Dingoes in National Parks, and submissions are now open.

As the AJP guide explains, dingoes are the only native animal in NSW not protected under the Biodiversity Conservation Act. This inquiry is an opportunity to examine how dingoes are managed in our national parks, including the use of lethal control and whether more humane approaches are possible.

What an incredible day at Zestiny Farm for the Big BBQ! 🌱

A huge thank you to everyone who joined the world-record breaking BBQ cooking lesson attempt on the Central Coast.

The Animal Justice Party NSW was proud to be part of this inspiring event, which brought together the community to celebrate sustainable living, clean energy innovation, and delicious plant-based food.

From learning how to make veggie burgers and flatbreads with a professional chef to enjoying live music and connecting with passionate community members, it was a fantastic day filled with positivity and purpose.

We are about to debate an “update” to animal protection laws in Parliament, but the Bill falls short.

It still allows lobsters to be boiled while they are still alive. It will allow a dog to be tethered for almost their entire life- as long as they have water. It will allow prawns to have their eyes cut off without even pain relief. It will allow day old chicks to be thrown into giant blenders and macerated while they are still alive.

Outdated laws decide which cruelty is considered acceptable. And this Government has chosen to leave some of the worst suffering completely legal.

This isn’t meaningful reform. We need to fix the whole system that is failing animals. Animal protection laws are failing because they remain under the control of a Department tasked with protecting industry - not animals.
