🌟 New celebration date 🌟

St Arnaud and district families are invited to celebrate the opening of a new mobile pump track at Lord Nelson Park on Monday, June 22. The opening was originally scheduled for Monday, June 15 but has been rescheduled due to the wet weather forecast.

The pump track is now open for the community to use. The opening celebration will start at 3.30pm and include an afternoon of activities, prizes and food for the community to enjoy.

The pump track will remain in St Arnaud for nine to 12 months before being moved to Stawell.

Our St Arnaud office will be closed from 11am and the Stawell office from 12pm. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Want to apply for the registration rebate but need a little help? Don't have an email address or smart phone? Drop in to Stawell or St Arnaud library and have a chat with a member of our team.

Our friendly Northern Grampians Libraries staff can help you fill out your forms online. You will need to bring your driver's licence, vehicle registration number and bank account details.

It is simple and fast.

And in case you missed the news, registration relief is here. If you own a light passenger vehicle in Victoria, you can get 20% off your vehicle registration for the 2025–26 financial year.

A few things to know:
➡️ It’s not automatic, you need to apply.
✅ Light passenger vehicles only.
❌ Businesses are not eligible.
⚠️ Only the current owner can apply.

Applications are open now through Service Victoria until July 31. You can check your eligibility and apply at service.vic.gov.au/rego-rebate.

World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, WEAAD, is celebrated across the globe on June 15 each year, providing an opportunity for communities to stand together against the abuse, mistreatment and neglect of older people.

Respect is not a matter of age. If you or someone you know is experiencing elder abuse, we encourage you to call 1300 368 821. Together, we can stop elder abuse.

Council’s Thrive 50+ Healthy Ageing Hubs team will host a free Elder Abuse Awareness session at St Arnaud Senior Citizens Centre on Friday, June 12.

The session is from 12pm to 1pm and includes a light lunch. All welcome.
