Every story matters, and everyone deserves a safe way to tell theirs.

The Government is investing up to $2 million in Call It Out, a First Nations-led register that gives people a safe, trauma-informed way to report racism, and builds the evidence to drive real change.

Across the racism inquiry, we’ve heard again and again how hard and unsafe it is for mob to report racism when it happens. A national register, led by our own people, is exactly the kind of thing that helps.

The inquiry isn’t finished, and I won’t get ahead of what the committee will recommend. But I don’t need the final report to welcome this.

It’s open to everyone. First Nations people and all Australians can report what they’ve witnessed or experienced. 🖤💛❤️

For over five decades the Ethnic Communities' Council of Victoria (ECCV) has been a powerful voice for inclusion, driving initiatives and fostering partnerships that strengthen communities and ensure that people from all multicultural backgrounds have the opportunity to fully participate in society.

That’s why it was great to receive a briefing from them this week at the Parliament of Victoria to discuss their state election platform ‘A Victoria for all of us’ which outlines 14 practical recommendations for the next Victorian Government, focused on eliminating racism and hate, strengthening multicultural organisations, improving access to services and building belonging.

I’m committed to continuing to support ECCV and advocate for their recommendations, priorities and broader platform for a stronger and more inclusive Victoria.

Thank you, ECCV for the briefing, for your incredible impact over the past five decades, and for ensuring Victoria is a place where diversity is celebrated and embraced.

Energy supplier AGL has warned One Nation’s plan to keep Victoria’s largest coal-fired power station open beyond 2035 will increase operating costs and the risk of unplanned outages - risking higher energy bills and blackouts.

This is the who Jess Wilson's Liberals need to join with to form government in Victoria.
