Earlier this week we were pleased to welcome manufacturing leaders, professionals, training providers, and other industry stakeholders at the Centre of Excellence for an evening of connection and networking to celebrate Queensland Manufacturing Month!

Across the state, manufacturers work tirelessly around the clock to build the products we need every day and keep the state moving, and it was inspiring to have so many leaders in one place to celebrate the essential role this industry plays.

Thirty-two meat processing professionals across Queensland have commenced an industry-leading training program designed to address a critical shortage of qualified supervisors and managers in the state's meat processing sector.

The program, funded by Manufacturing Skills Queensland and delivered by FS Alliance RTO 30814, is designed to deliver critical skills and competencies related to overseeing food safety programs, monitoring workplace health and safety processes, and leadership, equipping participants with the skills necessary to transition into management roles.

We had an incredible time at the It Takes a Spark! STEM Conference, connecting with brilliant young minds from Years 4-10.

Our VR sessions gave students a virtual front-row seat to the world of manufacturing – seeing firsthand what it's like to work in the industry.

We shared our career book and explored the who, what, and where of manufacturing with an engaged class.

The future is BRIGHT! We were absolutely blown away by how many students already knew about Queensland manufacturers. These bright sparks are destined for amazing careers in manufacturing!

Thank you to It Takes a Spark STEM Conference for creating such an inspiring platform for students and industry to connect.

Earlier this month we celebrated the launch of our Annual Training Plan 2026-27 alongside an inspiring Showcase Day at our Centre of Excellence in Maryborough.

The event brought together manufacturers, educators, students, and community members to explore the future of manufacturing in Queensland.

With live demonstrations, facility tours, and engaging discussions, it was a fantastic day highlighting innovation, skills development, and collaboration.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and supported this important milestone in strengthening Queensland’s manufacturing workforce!
