Congratulations to Year 12 student Keziah who was presented with the Artwork Design Award and the overall winner in the Region at the recent NAIDOC Awards Ceremony 2026, held at Beenleigh State High School. The ceremony started with a smoking ceremony, Welcome to Country by Auntie Robyn Williams and performances by Jinndi Mibunn Dance Group and Karem Bau Torres Strait Islander Dance Group. Keziah's artwork was displayed on the front of the program and on the awards trophies. This artwork honours the passing on of wisdom and knowledge between generations, a connection that remains unbroken no matter the circumstances. Keziahโ€™s explanation of the meaning and significance of her artwork was displayed in the program and read to the audience as she accepted her award. Congratulations to Keziah for achieving this award.

IMPORTANT PARKING REMINDER
Gate 3 (Administration Entrance, Brooke Avenue)
To ensure the safety of our students, staff and community members, we remind all parents and carers that Gate 3, the Administration entrance off Brooke Avenue, is not a designated Drop and Go zone.

The Administration car park is reserved for staff and authorised visitors only. Parents and carers should not stop, queue or double park in this area. Stopping in this location can obstruct access to the Administration car park, block vehicle movements, create traffic congestion, reduce visibility for pedestrians, and place students and other community members at risk.

We appreciate your cooperation in helping to keep our school community safe.
