PLEASE NOTE THE UPDATED QRSS 10-19yr 2026 Aquathlon and Triathlon State Championships dates as of today.

Also note that next year is a new Super Sprint format at Nationals so there are some important changes to the format of the State Championships. Details of the changes are outlined on the South Coast School Sport website under Aquathlon & Triathlon Latest News.

Thursday 5th February – Day 1 Opening Ceremony & Aquathlon

Friday 6th February – Day 2 Triathlon

Saturday 7th February – Day 3 Team Relays

AQUATHLON AND TRIATHLON INFORMATION

Urgent information for students interested in trialling for the Aquathlon or Triathlon teams for South Coast.

- Multi Class stays the same format as previous years.

- 10/11yr Aquathlon B&G are the same format, however they will be competing at AUS TRI ALL SCHOOLS KAWANA event this year.
(South Coast select a team of 10 girls and 10 boys for this team)

- Junior, Intermediate and Senior Triathlon have only changed in the senior distances - they are now a sprint distance.
(South Coast select a team of 10 Boys & 10 Girls for this team)

- New category – Aquathlon with new events available to Junior (13/14yr), intermediate (15/16yr) and Senior (17-19yr) Aquathlon.
(South Coast select a team of 6 Boys & 6 Girls for this team)

Please see your school sport coordinatoer asap as the event is just the other side of the school holidays.

TRACK and FIELD UPDATE

South Coast Sport Office will be emailing South Coast Track and Field team members tomorrow, with a name and event check for the 2025 QRSS Track and Field State Championships.

We have not yet distributed the team letter as we are waiting for the QRSS student levy costings for the State Championships.

If you receive a team letter tomorrow and you are NOT going to Townsville, please advise South Coast Sport Office via email [email protected] by Monday 8 September 3:00pm.
