Its 7 years since Yaz Mubarakai MLA and I gave a demo of the Train lines we were building with Rita Saffioti MLA and METRONET

Since then Railcars are now being built in Midland again for the first time in 27 years (note- the rail cars in this video are not ideal for passengers)

Made in WA is the Roger Cook WA Labor Govt plan to make more things here, so the wages stay here.

WA is good at making things.
When the Liberals were in power they let manufacturing die.

WA Labor has brought manufacturing back where it belongs.
We said we would, and we have so we can train our workers, take on our apprentices, and put our kids into secure jobs so they can raise a family, without leaving the state to do it.

An amazing staff performance at the Wirrabirra Primary School & Wirrabirra Education Support Centre Book week parade and excellent student costumes.

This was my last Book week parade "of the season" in my WASP costume, my book has been "The Wasp Kids go to School" and happy to give out hard copy application forms for each family for their $150 WASP (WA Student Payment) & $250 for yr7-12.

The amazing Cheryl from All Sewn Up I thank for her help with my costume.

Today I am meeting Gosnells Council Executive, the Mayor and Deputy Mayor for our Working Group to continue to progress the millions of $ of election commitments we are investing locally.

We are delivering a record high level of infrastructure to Gosnells Council - we give a huge portion of that funding to Gosnells Council as they are a great local employer who can deliver the infrastructure on behalf of the WA Govt and a working group like this allows us to get you as residents and ratepayers the updates on parks, playgrounds, roads, dog parks, the new Tip and more.

I'm proud that we are keeping our promise to deliver all of this infrastructure and whilst you won't hear my opponents on Gosnells Council speak about us delivering on what we promised, its important to get these built as fast as possible for two reasons.
One. The Liberals will try stop these projects if they get elected in three years time, and Two - delivering this money from WA Govt for Major Infrastructure means Gosnells Council has fewer pressures to raise rates.

IT’S BEEN 10 YEARS (AND 26,000 DOORS) SINCE MY FIRST DOORKNOCK!!

This week I doorknocked the Huntingdale street again, that was my first ever doorknock back in 2016 when I became the candidate for Southern River (and Sue Ellery and I were inviting residents to our First METRONET forum to get the train lines built).

As of this week, I have officially knocked on 26,291 doors across Canning Vale, Gosnells, Huntingdale and Southern River.

I’ve now doorknocked this patch of Huntingdale three times, and each time residents asked if we could add more facilities at Leatherwood Park. We wrote to the Council, and the Council declined those upgrades. We then organised a WA Govt election commitment for $150,000 (that can only be used to add to the existing facilities at Leatherwood) and the Council have accepted and we are getting on with the job.

Thank you to all of my constituents who have supported what Mark McGowan and then Roger Cook and I are doing in our area, we will never take your support for granted and we will keep working hard for you and your family.

Knocking on doors and talking to my community allows me to directly hear from you about what local infrastructure you want prioritised and the issues important to your family, and I look forward to the next 26,000 doors!

I had a wonderful time visiting Gosnells Primary and Yarralinka Primary for their Book Week Parades this morning.

Colleen Egan and I are proud to both be the State MLAs for Gosnells and we donated book vouchers for their Book week events.

Also got a photo with Yarralinka PS Principal Burgess and some of the new Umbrellas delivered as promised from our $40,000 election commitment.

Stephen Pratt for Jandakot and I love being the State Members of Parliament for Canning Vale and we were very excited to have the Canning Vale College Student Leaders at WA Parliament last week!

The students got to see Parliament and the WA Govt delivering our $250 WA Student Payment available for every high school student (and $150 for K-Yr6).

Sam Lim MP and I love being the Federal & State Members of Parliament for Canning Vale and we had an incredible time at the Excelsior Primary School Book Week Parade this morning in Canning Vale.

The students look great, watched on by many proud families and the staff were incredible.

This year, Sam Lim and I have a matching set of WASP costumes - and our book is "The Wasp Kids go to School"
- and we have hard copy appln forms for each family for their $150 WASP (WA Student Payment) & $250 for yr7-12.
