🌱✨ Did you know your food scraps could turn into community gold?

Thanks to the 55,000 households already using their food and garden waste bins, valuable compost is being created and returned to the community. ♻️💚

Recently, Links Community Garden in Lalor received 10 cubic metres of compost, helping volunteers refresh garden beds, build new ones and plant plenty of veggies ready for winter harvests. 🥕🥬

Let's age Positively ✨

Join us for the 2026 Positive Ageing Expo and World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD), a combined community event celebrating positive ageing and promoting respect and dignity for older people 💙 🤝

Discover local services, programs and resources available that support healthy, connected living while raising awareness about the importance of preventing elder abuse⚠️🛡️

This event will also showcase portraits from the Beyond Age project, where participants brought a photo from their younger years, and had a new photo taken of their current day self. A message written to their younger selves will also be featured in these portraits, to help embolden others, and promote respect and dignity for older people.

Entry to the event is free 😊
