Ready Set offers free professional clothing and career support training to women and men wanting to enter or return to the workforce; or needing appropriate clothing to present themselves at those important life events. Clients are normally referred by a referral agency - job training and placement agencies; or community based not for profit organisations that support the disadvantaged. Our client

s may have been out of work for a long time. Some may never have had a job, while others may be coming out of prison or other programs. They may be recovering from a life changing illness or be a recently arrived refugee. Support us by donating, volunteering or coming to one of our fundraising fashion sales.

Since 2011, Ready Set has supported more than 14,000 people facing barriers to employment. Meet Brodie โค๏ธ

Brodie is currently training as a support worker across the Aged Care and Disability sectors, gaining hands-on experience and exploring different workplaces as part of his studies.

During his styling session, Brodie connected with one of our volunteer stylists and walked away with what he proudly calls โ€œawesome clothes.โ€ He couldnโ€™t be happier with his choices and feels confident and prepared for his upcoming placements and job interviews.

Peter is 21 years old and exploring opportunities in nursing or infrastructure.

Before attending his FutureFIT session, Peter told us he wasn't confident putting together an outfit for an interview and had only a limited understanding of how to present himself professionally to someone he didn't know. Through FutureFIT, Peter received quality clothing that he really loved and felt proud to wear. He said that the clothing was of a high standard and that the session significantly increased his confidence in dressing appropriately and presenting himself for interviews.

Steven is 21 years old and looking to build a career in warehousing. Like many young people entering the workforce, Steven knew that first impressions matter. Through his FutureFIT session, he received quality clothing that he felt proud to wear, along with personalised styling advice and practical tips to help him prepare for interviews.

Following the session, Steven told us that his confidence had increased when it came to dressing appropriately and presenting himself for interviews. He also felt he had a stronger understanding of how to present himself professionally and was pleased with the quality of the clothing he received.

Having the right outfit won't get you the job on its own, but feeling confident, prepared, and comfortable can make a huge difference when walking into an interview.

Homelessness is not always visible.

It can mean sleeping in a car, moving between temporary accommodation or staying somewhere unsafe because there is nowhere else to go.

Across Australia, housing pressures, financial hardship and family violence are leaving more people without a safe place to call home.
For those experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity, finding work can be an important step towards stability and independence. But without suitable clothing, confidence, job seeking skills or support, that step can feel out of reach.

At Ready Set, we help remove some of these barriers through ๐œ๐ฅ๐จ๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐ง๐ , ๐œ๐จ๐š๐œ๐ก๐ข๐ง๐  ๐š๐ง๐ ๐œ๐จ๐ง๐ง๐ž๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ.

We provide more than an interview outfit. We offer practical support, dignity and hope when people need it most.

The theme of Homelessness Week 2026 is ๐‡๐จ๐ฆ๐ž๐ฅ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ง๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐€๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐จ๐ฐ because awareness alone is not enough.

Action means investing in housing and essential services. It also means creating pathways to employment and ensuring people are seen for their potential, not defined by their circumstances.

Everyone deserves the opportunity to rebuild their confidence and create a more secure future.
