🚨 Incident Response – Annie Pryers Rd 🚨

South Gundagai RFS Brigade has responded to a motor vehicle accident on the Hume Highway near the Dog on the Tuckerbox. Helicopter was called to airlift one person. With others being transported via ambulance.

As we head into the Easter holidays, we’d like to remind everyone to stay safe on the roads. Please drive to the conditions, take your time, and look out for one another.

🚒Truck Fire – Hume Highway, Tumblong 🚒

Multiple brigades have responded to a truck fire on the Hume Highway at Tumblong tonight. On arrival, it was clear the prime mover had disconnected from the B-double trailer, which was already well alight.

The fire spread quickly into the surrounding grass along the roadside and also started burning in the median strip. With thick black smoke in the area, crews have been working hard to contain the fire and ensure safe conditions for everyone involved. Due to the incident, traffic conditions have changed and one lane is currently closed.

🚗 Please remember when driving on the highway to slow down, stay alert, and keep our emergency crews and all people involved safe.
