‘Farmer Pastoral’ of Cangai was selected as the ‘vendor of the week’ at today's Grafton prime cattle sale. The vendor was selected for their offering of 11 Santa-cross cows and a Yulgilbar Santa bull. The cows averaged 542.2kg and sold for 385c/kg to gross $2,087.56/head, while the 855kg bull sold for 390.2 to gross $3,336.21. The offering was sold by Donovan Livestock and Property of South Grafton.

Tracey Conroy of Pulganbar was selected as the ‘vendor of the week’ at today's Farrell McCrohon store cattle sale. The vendor had a large offering of 95 head, comprising of 65 steers and 30 heifers. The steers topped at 544.2c/kg for 10 Angus-cross’ averaging 233kg, grossing $1,267.99/head. Later in the sale, the heifers topped at 462.2c/kg for 2 Charolais-cross calves averaging 155kg to gross $716.41/head. The offering was sold by Farrell McCrohon Stock and Station Agents of Ulmarra.

JR and BA Carlton of Ulmarra were selected as the ‘vendor of the week’ at today's Grafton prime cattle sale. Joe and Barb have been saleyard stalwarts for decades, consistently offering high-quality well-finished bullocks year after year. This week’s offering was no different, with the Carlton’s topping the bullock market at 430c/kg. Overall, their offering of 10 bullocks averaged 423.9c/kg at an average of 690.5kg to gross an impressive $2,927.05/head. The offering was sold by Farrell McCrohon Stock and Station Agents of Ulmarra.

We're seeking feedback on the draft Grafton Saleyards Future Management Options Report, which will guide the long-term direction, operation, and investment priorities for the saleyards.

The report includes proposed changes to the Grafton Saleyards Fees & Charges for 2026/27 to help ensure the saleyards can operate independently and sustainably.

Submissions close Tuesday 23 June 2026.

PJ & WJ Beel of Tullymorgan were selected as the ‘vendor of the week’ at today's prime cattle sale. The vendor was selected for their offering of 5 large Charolais cows and a single Charolais steer. The pick of the offering was a pen of 2 Charolais cows averaging a hefty 730kg which sold for 366.2c/kg to gross the Beel's $2,673.26/head. The high quality young steer weighed 345kg and sold for 420c/kg to gross a further $1,449.00. The offering was sold by Donovan Livestock & Property of South Grafton.

CQ Pastoral was selected as the ‘vendor of the week’ at today's Farrell McCrohon store cattle sale at the Grafton Saleyards. The vendor was selected for their offering of 46 steers ranging in weight from 400kg to 550kg. The best of the offering was a pen of 11 Angus steers averaging 462.3kg which sold to a Queensland buyer for 456.2c/kg, grossing $2,108.89/head for the vendor. The offering was sold by Farrell McCrohon Stock and Station Agents of Ulmarra.

The Farrell McCrohon Annual Feature Weaner Sale was held had the Grafton Saleyards earlier today. A very high-quality lineup of 1,200 Clarence Valley calves was on offer. Steers sold to 508.2c/kg on account of Sharyn Farlow of James Creek and Clive Moss from Tullymorgan, both of which sold Angus calves. Heifers topped at 398.2c/kg on account of J & R McCallum of Braunstone, selling high quality Charolais-cross heifers. The Annual Feature Weaner Sale was held by Farrell McCrohon Stock and Station Agents of Ulmarra.
