Advocacy WA

Advocacy WA Advocacy WA (AWA) provides advocacy for anyone with a disability or mental illness who lives in the southwest region of Western Australia.

Advocacy WA assists, supports and advocates in partnership with people with disabilities
to achieve social and individual change, empowerment, justice and human rights,
including where rights have been compromised We Believe in human rights for people with disabilities, irrespective of age, gender, cultural or linguistic background, religious beliefs, geographic location, sexuality or the nature, origin or degree of disability. We support the importance of choice, equality of opportunity, and inclusion in society. All people should be empowered to exercise independence over their choices and direction in their life. We aim to encourage, empower and support the civic participation of people with disabilities.

🏏 We are seeking expressions of interest from schools, clubs and community organisations across the South West to deliver inclusive cricket programs for people with a disability.

⭐ About Inclusive Cricket
Our inclusive cricket programs use the game as a way to connect people, build confidence, develop skills and create opportunities for everyone to participate in cricket, regardless of ability or experience.

Programs can be tailored to suit different ages, abilities and participation needs, with opportunities including:
• ⭐ Star Blast – an inclusive introduction to cricket focused on participation, enjoyment and skill development.
o With programs across Bunbury, Busselton and Manjimup in Term 4, it is a great way to get involved!
• 🏏 Star Smash Series – providing opportunities for participants to play modified, inclusive cricket in a supportive environment.
• 🤝 School & Community Programs – tailored sessions designed to meet the needs of individual groups and participants.
• 🌱 Club Pathways – supporting participants to transition into ongoing cricket and community participation.
• 💪 Other Inclusive Programs – flexible sessions that can be adapted to suit a range of disabilities, abilities and participation goals.

Our focus is on inclusion, participation, connection and enjoyment, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to experience cricket in a welcoming and supportive environment.

📩 If you are interested in being part of our Inclusive Cricket programs, please get in touch. We would love to connect, understand your participants' needs and explore opportunities to deliver programs across the South West.
